Brazil begins the Grand Prix by thrashing the Czechs
Anápolis (GO) - The Futsal Brazilian Team began its journey in search of the sixth title of the Futsal Grand Prix. This Sunday morning (17/10) the team beat the Czech Republic by 9 to 2. The contest, valid for Group A, was the opening match of the competition and was played at the Newton de Faria Arena, in Anápolis (GO).
Brazil began well the sixth edition of the GP, taking the lead of the Group A, which includes Costa Rica and Libya, who play at 6pm, at the UniEvangélica gymnasium, also in Anápolis. The next game of the current world champions will be this Monday (18/10), at 6:45pm, against Costa Rica, at the same place. SporTV channel will broadcast the game live.
The Czechs, however, will look for rehabilitation against the Libyans, also on Monday, at 2pm, at the UniEvangélica gymnasium.

Falcão, on 36min54, and César Paulo, who scored from a pass from Falcão, on 37min44, completed the final score of the match: 9 a 2.
The Czech Republic’s coach commented on the performance of his team against Brazil. “It was very difficult. We had many young players and I think they played well, but Brazil is the number one in the world”, said Tomas Neumann.
For Brazil’s coach, Marcos Sorato, the debut factor influenced the performance of his players. “The anxiety was pretty high, this was noticeable in the first half, but they slowly relaxed during the game and got a score of 9 a 2. We know that it will only get harder as the tournament goes along and we have to improve a lot”, stated Sorato.
